‘The Passion of Joan of Arc’

I first saw ‘The Passion of Joan of Arc’ at Latitude Festival in 2010. Never before in my life had I seen anything so exquisitely devastating. It broke me. It bound itself to me. It lives in me, as a fundamental part of me.

Here is an edit I made, with my eyes over those of the sublime Renée Jeanne, Maria Falconetti.

I think about synergy, and my profound feeling of kinship with her portrayal of this person. I think about how the symbolism of the phoenix, and the Hindu deity Shiva, are entwined with my Sun in Scorpio.

On a side, but still connected, I recall two friends of mine saying that I resembled Jane Wiedlin’s Joan of Arc in ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’. Bloody love that film too.
